woody Does any one know the largest castle (still occupied) in the world ?
Andrew Muller Well, Britain's largest occupied Castle is Windsor (where the Queen lives!).
I suspect this might be THE largest occupied one in the World, although I'm not sure. Some of the French and German 'chateau' type Castles are probably bigger (although Windsor IS huge), but they are not as old...Windsor still has the same ground plan laid out by William the Conqueror!
lanceo Malbork Castle in Poland may be the largest Castle. It is 4 times the size of Windsor
at 52 Acres. It was built by Teutonic Knights.
